Project 1: "I Beer & Bar" A mobile app for beer lovers

Context

We took into account that you might don't know what is a beer and you might be interested by our experience. A Beer is an alcoholic drink made from yeast-fermented malt flavoured with hops. But who drinks beers ? Many people in facts. Beer lovers are so many in this world. As each countries has its proper kind of beers, we imagine that some beer lovers would like to travel to discover other countries'beer or just have a wonderful experience with beers while bein in a travel. Small facts : "The data that allows us to rank countries is the amount of pure alcohol drunk on average per capita in a year. For example, a Czech consumes 6.79 grams of pure alcohol from beer per year. This is approximately equivalent to 135.8 liters of beer if all beers consumed were at 5% alcohol. France is at the 67th position of beer consumption in the world with 2.2 grams of alcohol from beer in one year or about 44 liters. Belgium is in the top 10 with an average of 5.19 grams of alcohol coming from beer. Canada is in 25th position just behind the United States in 23rd position."

With the emergence and the addiction of people to new technologies, smartphones and apps, we thought that creating an application to enhance beer lovers experience would be useful.

Target

Our application is targeting both occasional beer drinkers and professional beer tasters. Indeed, we want to enhance the experience for beer lovers that wanted to travel in order to meet other countries beer culture, and for people that doesn't want to follow touristics guides and want to travel light.

Service offered

We define our project as dedicated application to enhance beer lovers exeprience throughout the world while visiting a city or travelling to a new country. For that we have decided as a team to provide an all in one application that will features different modules selected by order of importance toward customers' satisfaction. It will be an application available for free on all smartphones regardless of their operating system (Android, Apple ..). Once the application is downloaded, the interface will be extremely simple and ergonomic. Our application will include different modules to smoothen the experience for beer lovers.

Module 1 : Rate the beers, pubs, restaurants.

Thanks to this module, people will sign in throught the application. For that we will store their informations in our database. Then they will log into the community module where they will share together the place they visited and the beer they enjoyed based on a 5 stars rating. The community based module will help people to have advices from other beer lovers that shares the same interests.

Module 2 : DataBase of all beer kinds

Using existing database such as : BreweryDB The world's most complete database for the beer industry. We will allow the users to find the beer kinds based on their geolocalisation or just for their own purpose manually based on the country of origin. This will allow the beer lovers to retrieve the taste rating done by other users, the percentage of alcohol, the country of production.

Module 3 : Find the right deals and offers

A dedicated virtual map will be offered to the users. Indeed the map, will be offering to geolocalize the pubs based on the deals offered: "Buy 2 beers get one free". This will allow the users to change their experience based on their preferences towards cheap deals.

They will be a map in which people can add their geolocalisation in order to help people to find easily the targeted place. This can also be nice for people that travel for job and that wanted to meet people around a beer in a nice place.

Project 2: Beers&Friends

Context

Making new friends is not always easy...unless you have beers to help you ! We think that beers can really unite people and create real friendships. So we want to use beers to connect people. You want to hang out tonight and drink great beers with nice people ? You are in vacation in a foreign city and you want to meet local people, make friend and discover local beers ? This application is for you!

Thanks to this application, you can now make new friends and discover wonderful beers.

Target

This application is for people who wants to make new friends, to have a great time, to have fun thanks to a magical thing that gather so much people: BEER ! It is for beer enthusiasts, lovely travelers who want to have company, basically for everyone!

Service offered

This is an application that combines new encounters and great beers ! It allows people who know good breweries to share their knowledge and it unites people. It is a really simple application: people just have to create an account and to authorize geolocalisation and then, either they tell the community that they know a great adress or they find nice people to go out with tonight. On the mobile screen will be shown users with their picture and their message (with the adress and the time of the date) and then, others could simply join them at the pub by sending them a Thumbs up .

Module 1 : You know cool pubs and you want to share your adresses and have a fun evening with new people ?

Thanks to this application, you can organize cool parties in pubs that serve delicious beers. To do so, you just have to post the adress and wait that other people to join you!

Module 2 : You want to meet people and drink beers ?

You don't really know great pubs but you feel like you want to go out and make new friends ? You can scroll our application and find people that you find interesting and see which beer they propose to drink tonight!
